The Influence of Globalization
The Influence of Globalization
Introduction
Leadership involves developing better communication skills and vision that make an
organization more dynamic through encouraging members of a team; making confident
decisions, developing strategies, and being able to transfer that confidence to team members. The
purpose of this paper is to discuss how globalization influences the selection of leadership
practices and sustenance. Further, the paper seeks to determine how educational leadership
practices facilitate implementation of effective models that maximize global competitiveness.
Leadership Best Practices for Meeting the Diverse Needs of Stakeholders
Leadership best practices involve creating a critical analysis of employees’ participation
as a necessary part of the development and maintenance of effective organizational policies. In
addition, leadership best practices influence managers to embrace their role as supporters for the
employees, especially in a workforce that is characterized by diversity. Therefore, leaders should
be compelled to introduce leadership practices that are aligned to the individual and collective
needs. Participative leadership is one of the best practices in a diverse workforce. In regard to
meeting the diverse needs of stakeholders, leadership practices are applied to meet changing
needs of clients and workers, take an active position in implementing the diverse programs in an
organization aligned with set up objectives and goals. Therefore, leaders with such diverse
qualities should develop training programs to provide better service by maintaining competitive
diversity in processes of increasing, utilizing and recognizing important resources belonging to
the organization (Aggarwal, 2008)
Effective leadership practices ensure strategic planning that focuses on measurable and
creative ways that may support organizational objectives, directions, and goals. Planning for the

diverse needs of stakeholders implies making effective and appropriate leadership response,
linking needs evaluation, assessment, and compensating to implementation progress initiatives.
Some of the best leadership practices include applying effective communication skills with the
stakeholders and acting upon their respective needs. In this regard, there should be regular
informal and formal communication to maintain strong ties between the management and
stakeholders. Creating a good perception about the quality of organization operations between
employees and administration as well as creating a strong impact on the way an organization is
viewed by members and clients.
Significantly, leadership best practices meet the diverse needs of stakeholders through
creating consistent contacts and effective language with both the management and clients. The
practice achieves their target through making appropriate technological advances, employing
necessary procedures and policies to maintain competition in the wider market, and capitalizing
on the organizational needs to draw important creative strategies that are useful for all
stakeholders.
Globalization Influences and Selection of Leadership Practices
Globalization has influenced organizations in all sectors to demand leaders with an
international mindset to hold their accountability and inclusiveness in managerial roles. Such
organizations expect their workers to have an insight into the global processes. This influences a
global outlook in service delivery on the part of the employees, and the adoption of management
and leadership models that facilitate competitiveness on a global perspective. Therefore, leaders
should have better skills and experiences for managing and leading organization’s projects
effectively. Moreover, globalization requires leaders to be overly curious, risk-taking, and
willing to understand how to operate within diversity in a manner that promotes sustainability

and accomplishment of goals and objectives. On the same note, the new idea of global leadership
is developed by allowing more women to hold executive positions, motivating and attracting
most talented employees of the present generation, and respecting their requirements and
preferences such as social learning procedures and work-life sustenance. As a result,
globalization influences the selection of leaders who recognize the values of distinct ways of
reasoning, thinking about solutions and corresponding in modern opportunities for ultimate
accomplishment of organizational goals (Oxelheim & Randoy, 2013).
In essence, the innovation and creative nature of modernization increases demand for
leaders who are capable of leading business into the global markets. Therefore, these leaders
must possess highly successful records of development, problem-solving skills, and resiliency to
face different leadership challenges in today’s emerging global trends of management.
Consequently, globalization influences the replication of best practices to achieve organizational
projects.
For instance, sustainability of most programs, with globalization, requires innovation and
faster rates in leadership positions. On another note, globalization influences the selection of
leaders that are capable of creating a complex organizational environment to solve challenges
faced with decision-making. Therefore, selection of leadership practices with reference to
globalization critically brings together diverse experiences, skills, and knowledge. In addition,
selection of leadership practice should influence better networking, and appropriate technology
that may be applied to today’s global leadership to successfully navigate the complex
circumstances.
Educational Leadership Practices and Implementation of Effective Models
The Influence of Globalization
5
In the competitive scope of the 21st century, sustainable benefits and advantage of
globalization are based on the leadership skills and abilities to manage diverse and execute
increasingly complex business strategies. In this regard, the effectiveness of leadership in this
trend of modernization requires leaders to be able to handle key global diversity issues. Both
cultural diverse circumstances and settings should be governed efficiently by developing a
significant capacity to accommodate diversity and other issues related to international practices
and experiences. Therefore, educational leadership influences the adoption of diversity and the
maximization of global competitiveness; helps resolve a broad range of problems and advantages
in the form of styles, ideas, innovation, and creativities in the workplace. As a result, such a
practice is essential for an organization to foster development and profitability (Christie, 2009).
Moreover, mixed organizations with a diverse culture, sexism, ageism or racism may
cause a loss in an organization potential to complete most projects and implementing initiatives
for success of company’s operations. In this regard, educational leadership may be applied to
facilitate managerial competitiveness through outlining key institutional values such as
innovation, performance excellence, social responsibility, quality of work, and work
involvement.
In brief, educational leadership practices influence the effectiveness of projects by
increasing capability to manage the complexity of diverse people. Thus, leadership practice
promotes respect and understanding in task delegation by promoting necessary adjustment in the
organization structure, culture, leadership as well as readiness for opportunities and challenges
that might arise. In addition, educational leadership ensures involvement of professional skills to
support members to resolve diverse issues through leadership development and mentorship.
The Influence of Globalization
Essentially, educational leadership may significantly affect individual’s attitudes,
behaviors, and values when the organizational environment is shaped by the leadership pattern.
For example, in many instances, educational leadership practices influence perceptions of the
peers, supervisors, and subordinates, which plays an important role in global leadership. They
make a strong impact on organizational culture and the accomplishment of goals.
