What is the grammar project:
Purpose
This project consists of multiple parts and is designed to improve your
grammatical accuracy. The main focus of this project is to reduce the number of
grammatical errors you make in first draft writing.
o TWPs are short paragraphs and possibly essays that are composed in
class in 10-15 minutes. Your instructor will give you a topic that is usually
related to the course content and your job is write continuously for the
entire time. You want to write as much as possible so that you get
substantial feedback about your language patterns.
o Procedure for TWPs

Write a paragraph in class in 10-15 minutes and submit it to your
instructor.
▪
Receive error feedback and then log errors in the Error Log.
▪
Type the paragraph (final draft).
ASSIGNMENT:
o At the end of the quarter, you will use your TWP feedback and Error Log
to write a short Reflection Paper about your progress and the Grammar
Project.
o Your reflection must meet the following specifications:

350-400 words
▪
has a creative and effective title (i.e. not “Reflection Essay”)
▪
has a clear introduction, body, and conclusion
▪
refers specifically to your TWPs and Error Log throughout the
paper
